1) Play a Barbarian, they can rip the door off. Don't know if another class has a unique option, but I know that one exists.
2) Don't get her out, she'll still be down by the door after the ship crashes and can join you for the rest of the run. You only lose her for a very short period at the end of the ship.
3) Let her out, taking one hit of the tadpole isn't going to end you. I'm not even sure if it's enough to trigger the first dream scene, so if you wish to avoid not getting those you should be fine, though if you do the top two options you'll avoid it entirely.
Like few said too. You can get her at beach too. Without opening the pod.
They took away the key thing to get her out?
Have they made more ship rooms to the intro? That would make more sense to me, like if they added layers to the ship and then had the key elsewhere.
Technically there probably should be a bunch more rooms, there all these people you meet on the beach yet you don't see anyone on the ship despite essentially going through the entire ship.
Sort of why hard for me to get into the game and say it's anything more then mediocre, so many plot holes and subpar story choices from the start.
Yeah, but in the last patch you have to use the Illithid powers to actually use the terminal.
I actually like the change, personally. I always thought to myself "why would I ever NOT save Shadowheart?" Now there's an answer.
If you have not tried using the tadpole powers you may want to mess around with it in early access. It unlocks some unique abilities and cut scenes at camp. You don't always have to be a good guy.
also this one use i doubt will doom you to some bad ending.
The key powers the terminal but doesn’t open the pod. Warlocks can power up the terminal without the key.
Sorcerers can use their innate power to open the pod. Barbarians can just rip open the pod. I have not played a wizard since the patch so I’m not sure about them.
If it were real, you can't hope to save everyone you meet when you are not very powerful and your life is on the line too, and you can't tell if someone would be a very valuable asset to your cause just by looking at his/her face.
