Any mods yet that expand the story?

I want to play NEW content. I would also be okay with new quests, areas and dialogues. For example I would appreciate alternate choices and therefore endings to quests. For example perhaps becoming the leader of the goblin camp by dueling Minthara. It's only an example, you get the idea. Another example would be to have better dialogue options to punish Astarion for being an evil vampire or siding with Kagha and rallying the druids to kill all the tieflings in the grove before they are able to harm the grove.

I'm all for a "Fallout London" style mod for BG3, but remember, Fallout London came out 9+ years after FO4's release.

The AI stuff can jump off a bridge and choke but it'd be nice if in a few years time we got something notable by the modding community.

I'd rather not have an unofficial "story DLC" by modders but something else entirely. Something original, you know.

Or a new Neverwinter Nights entry. I've given up hope on anything new Icewind Dale.

The voice actors have already expressed their distaste for it too so have pretty much EVERY voice actor in the industry and for good reason, it's so crazy it's even a question at all whether impersonating someones voice with ai is okay or not it's so obviously not.

For all the praise people give this game people really seem to miss the point as to why it was successful or so good to begin with, I dunno why people are so quick and eager to throw human creatives and art as a human form of expression out the window for a quick dopamine hit...
This ai crap is parasitical, unethical, likely illegal and just overall wrong and offensive to humanity and all artists regardless of field.
And people who support it deserve any low effort slop whatever corpo will throw their way to scam them.

It's difficult, and the authors who can do this will be very remarkable. Because Baldur's Gate 3 has too many performances, it is an unbearable burden for story creators. I hope that the advancement of AI technology can achieve this.

While we're at it, let's get rid of automobiles because they 'disrespect' horses, and tractors because they 'disrespect' honest, hard working peasants who toil in fields all day.

AI voice is an abstraction of many voices. And humans impersonate other people all the time (impressionists, comics, etc.) Is this illegal? Not to mention the fact that all humn learning comes from absorbing what other ppl know first. How do you think an artist learns to paint? By studying how other artists have painted before them. This is all generative AI does - except it does it faster, more extensively, and more accurately than any human ever has.

And it's not illegal - it's transformative. In fact, no one has successfully sued anyone over it's use yet, and probably never will.

Technological progress is relentless, no one can stop it.

There are already mods that use AI to change or augment existing voices in the game. So it looks like you're late to this party, and it's either totally legal, or not worth anyone's time to try and put a stop to it.
