Arcane archer... weird choice
I really hope they homebrew it into something good. TT-5e, Arcane archer is the worst subclass in the entire game. It gets 2 shots. Thats it. It doesn't scale, and you NEED your DM to allow for a short/Long Rest often to get any value out of the subclass. Of course BG3 allowing for on demand rests would make it much easier, but thats still only 6 shots per long rest.

I hope they make it so that the charges scale, like INT+2 or something of the same line.

Seconded.
As is in table top its never really worth using.

I'm using the ancient arcane archer mod at the moment and it makes it feel closer to what it was in 3.5, though not quite as it was a half caster there that could infuse spells into arrows and have them go off when the arrow hit. (similar to what Duskblade did with melee weapons in 3.5 and what the Magus does in pathfinder 1-2e with any weapon)

They vastly improved upon the Ranger class, so I think there's hope for Arcane Archer.

It looks like Larian is homebrewing Swaashbuckler a bit, so I suspect they might do it with 5E Arcane Archer, which I agree blows. (It will probably be 5E Arcane Archer but they may change it up a bit. In the meantime, I think I will still keep using Blood Archer and Ancient Arcane Archer, which are better.)

Imagine if they made ranger 1-1. "Alright, well now Im in the underdark. Half of class features dont work"

I mean, short of introducing mounts, how else would they bring about a little bit of variance to Fighters?
I'd just like an archer where using dual hand crossbows isn't the most obvious best option..

as much as I'd rather see rune knight get implemented, larian will probably make the addition work out well

That would be nice, but that's really down to the way the 5e rules are implemented here- the +10 damage per hit from Sharpshooter is strong enough that the extra attack from the offhand crossbow is going to be more damage than using a stronger 2 handed missile weapon, provided you can reliably hit with it.

I think you'd basically have to re-work how Sharpshooter works in a pretty significant way to make other options competitive with dual crossbows.
I would have preferred Cavalier.

I'm sure AA will be good multiclassed with either Rogue or Ranger, but if not, someone will mod it.

That's pretty much what 5.24e has done with the flat damage bonus being restricted to Great Weapon Master, which now applies that bonus to any heavy weapon, including heavy crossbows and longbows. To the point where a properly specced heavy crossbow expert will outdamage hand crossbows.

What I would really like as a Fighter Subclass is a psionic warrior class. Also, if the 5E Samurai were done differently, I would really like it (I just don't like it thus also not the mods that implement it). Maybe then my kensei could share his katanas.

5E Psi Warrior sucks. It's not anywhere close to what I'd like.

Mind Weaver Forceblade and Psionic Warden are, but Warden is more of a Magus gish type, and Forceblade is more straightforward psi warrior. Works really well for Lae'Zel.

I used to make her a Kith'rak (another class mod) and I like that one, but ehhhh, the author has overstuffed it with so much crap. I mean, seriously, why does it get Animal Aspects and so many spells? I JUST want the psionic abilities (which are very cool). Also, its icon is totally bugged in Patch 7.

Mystic is good for a psionic caster type character, but just meh for a psi warrior. Even if you take the psi-combat disciplines.

There's one class mod at Nexus called the Psion, but I stopped using it as it was a) bugged b) continues to be unfinished.

Also, there's a 5E option to have Arcane Archer to be a Ranger subclass, which could be another way to do it. There USED to be a Ranger Arcane Archer mod at Nexus, but it seems to have vanished.

That's amusing. I've not seen that before, but I wouldn't mind if that became the standard notation.

Also monks are much better in BG3, than they are in 2014 D&D 5th edition! So arcane archer is very good choise!
More magic type archer, why not!

This.

Too early to be thinking Arcane Archer is going to suck in the update. Or any new class addition.

Larian appears to be homebrewing most of their subclass additions, and they've only discussed a few of the additions. I think waiting and seeing how they deliver these would be a good idea. I don't think they will do Arcane Archer RAW. Ancient Arcane Archer may still be better, but they could improve on it.
