Dame Aylin
Why is this the part where the game takes agency away from me. I am 7 hrs deep now and it decides the story for me? i dont understand why i NEED to save her. I want her dead as a door nail, as far as i can tell she caused literally most of the crap i am now dealing with in game. WHY would i save her!? (No spoilers plz) I really hate this, is there any way i can make her very very dead?

In fact, I hope you don't have Shadowheart in your camp if you didn't bring her, 'cause she's gonna leave for not being brought along.

Nope, the only person who can permanently kill her is Shadowheart, wielding the Spear of Night.

She is immortal against anything else in the game. No matter how many times you kill her, she'll keep getting back up.

And yes, it NEEDS to be Shadowheart who delivers the killing blow. Even if you equip the Spear of Night yourself, it still won't accomplish the job.

It's not really that hard. You can actually skip the entirety of act 1 by taking several possible routes to get to the Shadow Curse.

I can only assume Shadow heart is something real special. :P

Rakshasa also eat people.

Not only that, but they apparently have the magical ability to make people want to be eaten by them.

Yes, that's right, Rakshasa have the power to awaken a vore fetish in their victim.

Dont care about all that tbh. Its an RPG, the player does not ''miss'' a plot point. The game has naturally moved me here and told me relevent info.
But it does seem by your statement i did indeed miss a bit, but thats what newgame + is for.

By virtue of the fact you think a clearly chained, imprisoned, and abused Aylin is the cause of all the mess you're dealing with; yes, you missed a plot point. Hell, even with ignoring all the contextual plot points, Aylin directly tells you she is a prisoner of Kathric for her immortality, Jaheira and Halsin both speak on how Kethric made the shadowcurse.

She's helpful in normal mode with the Ketheric fight but on tactician she's practically worthless. Other than flavor I can't really think of any other situation where she actually helps out much... maybe at the very end but you have a lot of other choices there as well. So let or encourage Shadowheart to kill her if you want.

The game tightens the rails every so often: the prism cutscene, save/kill Aylin, save so and so, and someone has to become something.

The first is exposition. Railroads 2-4 grate. Congrats OP, you've just bumped into the first of several.

She does open access to the Moon sliver fight, which is a very fun battle, especially if you make it 3-way by attacking L.

the only people that can get that far that fast have multiple play throughs and know how to meta game and speed run.

no way you got there in 7 hours?!?.

I mean, you watched zero cinematics? zero dialogue? how did you know where to go?

Why are you talking about lore if you've not watched a single cut scene???

I Have over 900 hours in this game. to properly gear out myself and one companion and make it to Dayme Aylin would take over 7 hours

Solo speed run maybe. Thats with 5 complete runs, 3 hanging in act 3. 6 of those 8 are HM

You can also sell her out in act 3 if you really don't like to keep her around either way you get a pretty good support for the end game.

True. Glitchless speedruns are doable in less than an hour and it's possible to reach Shadowfell in around 20 minutes. At the current pace, he should be able to finish the game in around 20 hours.

But can you do it without a guide or prior experience? The OP has neither or he would not have asked such a silly question.

Some of which you either ignored or forgot, though.

No NG+ in this game.

7 hours without a guide or prior experience, perhaps, if you follow only your quest markers, skip mostly all dialogues and cutscenes and rush only to the main quest (a massive amount of side quests will never popup). Using a BG3 map would be essential even if technically it's not a guide and barely count as prior experience in my book.

The game doesn’t let you not bring her. I didn’t want to bring her as i don’t ever use her. I couldn’t place the stones or whatever to summon the elevator unless she was in my party. I was stuck for like a half hour before googling it. She could kick rocks like astarion did idgaf if she isn’t at camp cooking us dinner and doing our laundry.
