Charisma convienience (we must be Bards)
if act 2 and act 3 are like act one then there are many charisma checks. if your main is a charisma based character the overlap is very convenient. there are many other checks with dexterity being another high convenience factor. those 2 attributes make a bard. the first character i made was a bard just randomly. now that i have played act 1 a few times i may go back to it.

the game gives you 2 decent fighters. you don't need to be a fighter. it doesn't bother me that the gith has an 8 charisma. if it was table-top i would expect that and respect the player. once you get your head past giving up cool items, the game gives you a wizard. You have a priest.

stake the yesterdays niche fetish vampire in the heart with the conveniently provided stake.
(i had a vision too. Anne Rice handed me the stake.)

paladin is tempting if it wasnt for the sword power you already have. you can't have everything because wisdom is helpful too. So bard seems to make for the highest convenience factor. i enjoy the druid while wishing i was getting the bard skill checks.

not sure about raw power or tactical cheeses. it kinda seems like there is a nerf ceiling over all builds. and a nerf floor as well.

shocking as this may be, you dont have to succeed every check to enjoy a playthrough.

I only take one bard level on my wizard to gain the Bard tag and a couple of off class spells. Works fine with 10 a charisma. The dialoge tag gives options you would not otherwise see.

1 - Pick Warlock.

2 - Pick Entertainer Background.

3 - Pick the Beguiling Influence invocation at 2nd level.

Congrats, you now have Proficiency in every Charisma skill.

Oh, also want to point out that Agonizing Blast adds your Charisma modifier to your Eldritch Blast damage, and if you save the prisoners in Act 2, you can get access to a robe that adds your Charisma Modifier to the damage of your Cantrip spells.

Eldritch Blast is a Cantrip, and by this point in the game, you should be able to fire 2 of them at once, before eventually capping out at 3 blasts.

Assuming you maxed out Charisma to 20, that would be a bonus of +8-10 damage for each individual blast, on top of whatever damage amount you get from simply leveling up.

I've got Wyll throwing out a double blast, witch each beam dealing 20 damage a piece!
