2. Aasimar race
3. More PnP subclasses, like Circle of Wildfire druid, Baldesinger wizard, Shadow Magic sorcerer etc...
3. More feats/spells.
also like, do yall just act like mods dont exist until they show up on steam workshop?
basically everything you people are asking for already exists, 1 google search away
like seriously i think all mods noted here are on the nexus you can get them right now
also nfw mods will most likely not be approved for mod.io and will have to be installed manually
Cosmetics (hair, faces, clothing, etc.)
New Classes / Subclasses
I can't figure out how to get my PC's zip program to work properly, so I get mods from Workshop, as it's a hell of a lot easier to download and install them, instead of using Nexus.
As for no lewd mods, you probably aren't aware Steam has long since lessened their restrictions on that kind of content? Not only are there games with NSFW patches available for DLC now, but they also have quite a lot of games that are just straight up porn on the Store selection.
Plus, BG3 already has full frontal nudity and graphic sex depicted in game without any mods required. I don't think the puritans in charge of regulating mods are going to be overly concerned with NSFW content.
All props to Norbyte, but we really shouldn't need it. Or that hack, "mod fixer".
"Our goal with mod.io and our partners is to strike a balance that allows for extensive modding while keeping the guidelines in mind, and to open the door for mods to reach as many players as possible while ensuring they work seamlessly across different platforms. While some NSFW mods and certain script-heavy modifications may not be supported through the official pipeline, modding outside of our pipeline will still be an option."
That sure sounds like the "puritans" are concerned with censoring NSFW content. Considering you're unable to operate 3rd party mod tools, you're going to be trapped within that "official pipeline."
Perhaps you should read the modding FAQ; you seem to be developing unrealistic expectations of what official mod support will mean for the game:
https://baldursgate3.game/news/community-update-27-official-modding-support_118
just.. get 7zip? and tell your computer to treat all zip/rar files as 7zip files
This is a sure sign that you should absolutely not be modding. If you can't figure out how to unzip files you're a dozen steps removed from managing mods properly.
2 - More subclasses from official sources.
3 - More classes and subclasses from other scenarios/games,
4 - More companions from existing characters, specially cut content (looking at Thorm).
5 - Wishful thinking, no idea if it's even POSSIBLE: Gory sync kills. I can't believe in a game with so much gore I cannot benead of mutilate with a huge 2 hander sword or blow people to pieces with spells like in Fallout 1, 2 Tactics and Wasteland 3 on many warhammer 40k RTS or tactical games.
The issue with unofficial mods is that everything is often hacked together in a way that causes instability. It's very easy to mess up your saves using unofficial mods due to conflicts or new patches.
It's probably not a big deal for those looking to play for a short while, but official mods can last a lot longer and offer a more stable experience. I have many mods I created for Divinity 2 that have been working for 6 years.
eh, a lot of it is due to user error that will still happen with mod.io, such as forgetting to install dependencies or installing conflicting files
plus even with mod.io updates still run the risk of breaking mods made with official tools(tho for this game usually just major ones)
first of all, the mods wont be official anyways, they will be approved to be hosted on mod.io(or they wont) but *they are still gonna be 3rd party mods* made by 3rd parties, not larian or WotC(tho larian might release a couple official mods as a modding template to get rookies started)
official tools just means easier to make stuff, stuff is rarely 'hacked together' since once extracted from the paks most gameplay-relevant stuff is plain text once extracted unless its trying to do smth a bit more special via scripting which will likely not change as the scripting made via the script extender will prolly still rely on said script extender, a 3rd party tool
That actually isn't the case. There is no 'graphic sex' in BG3.
Sure there are boobs. But there are no genitalia shown, nor is there any 'interaction' with them. If it were, that would be where the NC17 rating would come in.
Most countries are 'ok' with full frontal content, as males also go 'topless'. However genitalia is a different issue. Many countries require coverage. In the digital world, that means 'mosaic' to cover the genitalia. There are various methods, some more 'risque' than others but they all still abide by the guidelines.
