About the githyanki egg (SPOILERS)
Is the only way to see it hatched by giving it to that paladin on the mountains near the crèche, so in act 3 we'll meet the young githyanki already grown? I mean, I'm sure many people just kill her because she doesn't look well intended at all, trying to steal an unborn sentient being. I killed her. Is there another way or will the egg just stay in Lae'zel's inventory without ever hatching? Will they upgrade with more scenes for quests?

There's a reference in the epilogue if Lae'zel has it at the end of the game I believe

She's trying to steal it so that the Society of Arcane Brilliance can raise it to be a good person, instead of a fanatical warrior in Vlaakith's cult.

And this would by extension prove to the world that Githyanki are only evil because of a product of their upbringing, rather than something inherent to their being.

Even though most of the society appears to be made up of races from the Underdark, and therefor such a theory should have been well proven by this point.

Raise it to be... the sort of good person who steals children? What if the one stolen was going to be the one to finally break them free of their slavery to the lich?

It would have been killed before it ever had the chance to get that far. Go to the training room, and you'll see the children are being trained to fight each other to the death in order to prove they're worthy of serving their queen.

When one of them begins questioning why the training has to be so brutal, the instructor has no qualms at all about murdering them in cold blood to serve as an example to the others.

Is there any other kind?

You can give the egg to the trader, Esther, who in turn will bring it to the Society of Brilliance.

If you choose to do so ... well go ahead and spoil yourself on how it all turns out here. I would say their experiment fails.

Read "Consequences" here (if you choose)

Having Lae'Zel hold on to it ... could lead to a better outcome in the Epilogue. As noted above.
