...but if you insist maybe try shoving him into an abyss?
Need to off him permanently.
Are you hinting he can be offed permanently with Withers' help?
Other than that I would say no.
Out of curiosity, why do you want to permanently delete him?
If one of your party members dies (because they were "accidentally" ordered to jump into a chasm, for example), you can entrust them to Withers. That will get rid of them until if and when you decide to retrieve them. No unsightly corpse, no greyed-out portrait, just nothing.
Yeah, I'm very disappointed that I went through all that trouble of romancing him and helping him ascend, and the only reward I get out of it, is the mid bite attack that Astarion had all game, while not getting access to the true vampire powers.
Especially since he outright tells you that he'll be allowing you to drink his blood, which according to his description of events (and in the lore proper), should have elevated you up from being a mere spawn.
You can pretty much kill whoever you want so I don't understand why I keep
seeing post like this.
Also, for the most part, his existence as a vampire is almost totally irrelevant to the game. He's immune to sunlight, can enter buildings without an invitation, and they removed his previous weakness of taking damage when exposed to running water. And once the ascends, he gets to keep these invulnerabilities even without the tadpole.
He only tries to forcefully feed on the party during that one cutscene, then it's never brought up again. He also doesn't need to drink blood anymore if you let him ascend.
As it stands now, I don't even know why they decided to make him a vampire in the first place? You get almost none of the authentic vampire experience. As it stands, Astarion comes across as being one of those PC's who's supposed to be super, duper special, because their player wants to distinguish themselves from the rest of the party.
