Question about the Paladin Oath of Vengeance in ACT1
I read that being "dishonorable" as in attacking people who you convinced to be their friend would cause you to break your oath. In ACT1 in the Goblin camp, i did not convinced anyone that i was friendly, i killed the goblins that were guarding the entrance when they told me to turn around, and never once did i tried to persuade any Goblin that i was a friend. So my question is this. If i start killing the goblins in the Goblin camp, who at this moment don't see me as hostile, will i break my oath? And what about the Goblins and their captains inside the temple? If i kill them "sneakly" does that break the oath of vengance?

I'm sure you can turn them hostile with dialogue if you want to.

Yeah i imagine that i can cause some trouble... but I'm wondering if the game counts the fact that they don't know that i'm hostile as me having had them convinced that i was friendly.

I just killed one of the Goblins in the camp by giving him a gentle nudge off a cliff. Does the oath breaker event happen shortly afterwards or is there some kind of delay in that mechanic?

I never broke my oath despite being a borderline murderhobo. Vengeance is quite lenient with itself

Allowing Ethel to make a deal blows the fuses on oath of vengeance.

You need to understand. Goblin is not an innocent being. Of course you won't break the oath.

Yes, goblins is free game to kill as they deserve. None of them are innocent.

Hmm so killing the Goblins in the blighted village after you convince them that you are on their side doesn't break the oath? It seems to be a pretty dishonrable thing to do, regardless if the Goblins deserve death or not.

I think you'll be ok since its oath of vengeance. All 3 oaths have different rules, and the not killing non hostiles applies mostly to the oath of devotion.

You can freely murder them with a Devotion paladin. That's a stickier oath than vengeance.

But their Oaths and subsequently what breaks them are different though, so the things that breaks the devotion oath, won't break for vengeance, and vice versa, at least that's what a lot of the information i've seen online about Paladins states anyway.
