Sounds like the problem was you, bud.
One of the great mystery of life.... park them camp so they can smell the flowers the entire game. Druid seems to be the one of the worst classes in BG3... have zero patience with them.

As much as people talk about two druids, I don't consider either of them, or Minsc, actual companions since you don't get to use them until act 3.
Like yeah, I've had these guys on my team for tens of hours fighting through thick and thin, but now I'm gonna swap them out...?
Minthara at least you can get almost as early in act 2 as you'd like.
