Does Shadowheart "need" to be Trickery Domain

Trickery is kind of a trash cleric domain, especially in comparison to other ones, but I heard that you can screw with the narrative if you respec story companions like Shadowheart, since their class is a part of the narrative. If you respec Shadowheart into another type of cleric, will that screw with her storyline?

trickery gets some good spells its not that bad.

Changing her domain or even class doesn't lock you out of any of her story, just makes some dialog options weird. That said, Trickery cleric is still cleric, one of the best classes in game, and Trickery gets some amazing spells for cleric to have (mirror image, fear, dimension door for example). Change it if you want, but I would recommend sticking with it, it really is not as bad as many seem to think.

My Shadowheart is cleric of pure "healing" school type(not english subs player here), she got many selune-like powers which might not look best in act 1 and most of act 2 as she is Shar worshipper but in act 3 it could work just fine as her story progress.

yea having mirror image on pure cleric is badass. Best defensive spell you can precast out of combat for free

No, it will have no effect on her storyline.
Moreover, and considering she's an expert of infiltration, you can respec her as a rogue too, without problem.

Trickery domain is mostly useful for Dimension Door, otherwise its junk.

Only your own immersion makes or breaks the game . So ultimately iys up to u . When I reapec them i mostly stay near their prefered playstyle. Like karlach being frontliner but she dont need to be barbarian for that . So thats what I do

some clerics can wear heavy armour - and it works on her very well - she gets strong around level 5 , spirit guardians , sanctuary , bless - huge healing as a life cleric -inflict wounds is good - if you get the lathander mace it fits her well too
i gave her more constitution and a concentration feat

Light domain is special because of the warding flare. That cannot be replicated.

no. there is no story you will miss because you specc'd her out of trickery domain.

Sorcerers can use metamagic on scrolls however. You can put out a lot of pressure by twinning disintegrate scrolls.

Again, that wasn't my point. I was pointing out that the argument that because you can use scrolls, it makes a domains spell list bad, because it could be said about every domain, so it's moot.
