You did. You got to play it for 2 years. Anything else is gravy.
I got to play the exact same piece meal content for 2 years straight, which eventually got boring after going through it so many times. Adding a new class every 4 months, or a single new race after 2 years was not enough of an update to renew my excitement.
And that new area of the Underdark was a joke, because you can completely bypass all of its quests by just stealing a couple smoke powder barrels from the goblin temple and using them to blow up the rocks trapping the drow.
Also, let's not forget how frequently this game continues to crash to desktop...
^ I mean, that's kinda what you agreed to when you bought it. They told us what was there and what to expect, and to hold off if we wanted more or didn't like it.
If you're still having frequent crashes, that's an issue, sure. Hopefully cause will be fixed by release assuming it's not related to your pc.
No, do not lump me into the same category as those people who didn't read the store page. I knew full well the early access would be restricted to Act 1.
But I expected that when they said 'Act 1', they meant the ENTIRE ACT 1.
Not half of act 1.
Back when they first showcased gameplay, they said there were two routes players could take to reach their goal. One through the Underdark and the other through the surface. I had assumed at that point that they were telling us they would be adding in the surface route later over the course of development. Only to find that never happened, and I can only assume it's because the surface route progresses Lae'zel's companion quest chain, and the devs want to keep all of those under wraps until full release.
I have over 300 hrs in the game and crashes have been few. Maybe 2 or 3 during that time. Pretty stable considering it is just a early access game.
I have over 600, and it's crashed pretty constantly over the last 2 years. A problem which seemed to actually get worse over time, rather than better.
I want to believe they've improved the situation, but I uninstalled the game after getting that bug where it says my game files didn't match their stored data, and have no plans to come back to it until after full release.
If you own the game before August 28, you can start playing the full game that day, but limited to just Act 1 for those 3 days. But your saves from those 3 days, will be playable on August 31, and you can then continue on with the other Acts.
