Yeah, to me an 'easter egg' would only mean something to someone 'in the know'. In other words, to someone who familiar with DOS2. One would hope, at least, that the item isn't named Fane's Mask in-game and its in-game description doesn't have DOS references. I guess time will tell.

Though I would say it's a problem when they make the best items references instead of cool new stuff, because they're relying on nostalgia and not producing new things that people want. Blizzard.
