Where can I find a very wealthy trader in Act 3?
I have a suit of armor I want to get rid of, but it's worth over 6k gold and nobody around here has that much. Does anyone know where some wealthy traders can be found?

You can "get rid" of it even in Act 1 via barter. You don't have to get everything in gold. If the trader has something you want to buy and that something is worth good coin - that's your solution.

Honestly though - I wouldn't bother too much. With the way fast travel and camp is implemented I see absolutely no reason to just not pick up everything worth even 10 coins and then selling it. So gold is of no consequence in this game, I end Act 1 usually with 15k of free gold and all the best items I could ever want from the traders.

Lower city either Damion (tiefling smith from act 1 if he still lives) or the trader in mage shop (i think he as 11k).

In general you could just buy everything you need and then use one of your companions as thief and steal the gold back and that's it. Do that with every trader you need something from.

I want gold, though, not items. And no trader I've found would even have enough high-value items to barter with (that I'm interested in, anyway) unless I sell at a significant loss.

Unfortunately, those have already been depleted. I had other things to sell at the time.

There are 6 traders close to each other - Mage Tower, Armor seller and Weapon seller near it, Potion selling dwarves that came from Underdark near it, Dammon and Devilish seller.

You can take a long rest for them to replenish gold.

You can also send all gear you don't need now but will sell later to the camp. And then just TP to camp and back to grab it when you actually plan to sell it.

Find Dammon, he tends to carry around a lot of gold.

Long resting doesn't refresh the gold reserve of the Sorcerous Sundries vendor or is it still below 6k?

I've long rested several times. None of the vendors I've been to have enough gold to buy the armor.

Their gold resets after a long rest.

You stole that expensive armor too? I have not found a place to fence it either. Doesn't really matter does it? What is there to buy? Not to mention you can steal anything you want very easily in this game. My rogue has +14 sleight of hand. Add guidance and other buffs and it's like being a kid in a free candy store.

Boring. No substance. Mostly unfinished. Bad optimisation.

You make the trader wealthy.
Then you make them poor again.

Tried several non vendor NPCs(mostly nobles and the Madam at Sharess' Caress) but seems none of them carry such sums. I'm currently in the part of the Stone Lord quest that I don't have access to a peaceful Guildhall to try there as well but maybe check to see if Nine Fingers, the guy that buys the keys or the Zhent agents there have such a sum on them? Or maybe Glitterbeard at the Counting House but he died for me.

This. You can stand in front of the trader, teleport to camp and grab all your sellables, teleport immediately back to where you were standing, sell, rinse and repeat.
