Yeah... no... maybe... I do not like to say it has some of the best. It is really hard if just every other make it often worse than they actually could.

Voice acting is good, however some lines don't match. Some are way quiter than the others, or two consecutive lines are said with different emphasis, like they were recorded in two different dialogues.

I thought Raphael, Wulbren and Minthara were great. Ketheric was not good, even though Simmons' worst is still okay. I can't be objective on Astarion, because I really dislike what the VA is going for. Orin is whatever, I care not about her.

On topic - "some of the best voice acting" - yes, definitely.

There are other games and same Voice Actors that did voice acting for Baldur's Gate that also did voice acting for other games, like Amelia (narrator) doing voice of Malady in DoS2 or Wenduag in Pathfinder WotR (sounds very different there btw). And different games that had amazing voice actors like Laura Bailey, Mattew Mercer and other popular ones and less popular ones, but amazing nontheless.

But BG3 for sure combines 1 of the biggest amount of awesome voice actors / voiced characters in 1 game. And fitting animations combined with them, including voice acting for Speak with Dead & Speak with Animals, both of which are made exceptionally well. Pigeons, cats, dogs are well voiced and fit their personalities. I don't remember a game that had so much different amazingly voiced characters in it. Usually it's much less quantity per game.

OP, I agree. I may hate a character, but the voice acting is dead on. For me, it's the 1st time where a game got all the character's voices dead on.
