Not sure if sarcasm or not, because text lacks context. but if you are being serious, then well it didn't take much. D&D lore was there, and it just seemed like kind of a fitting thing. And far as I can tell from the Deep Gnomes we meet in BG3, they aren't inherently evil. Just inherently pissed off!

Oh I know. But Slavery is considered evil by D&D standards and I'm to snuff out any evil. So seems like Vengeance paladin get away with being extra murdery, so long as it's for justice.
