Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3

Zarys ( Zhentarim )
Zarys tells the player to find her in the city. Yet, in 2 playthroughs i have never found her there, which means i probably just as well can explode and loot the place without invisibility and sneaking.

is this another loose end of the cut end content ? I will leave them alive only if they serve purpose in act 3.

According to the wiki she only appears in act 1, but the wiki is far from complete.

My problem is I did the persuasion to convince Rugan to sell it together. I take the chest, go to the hideout, Zarys says to come in, and when I approach the first metal gate combat automatically begins. I don't get to go down and talk to her and get the choice to kill or spare rugan. Ah well, they're jerks anyways.

Did you have any summon when you approached the gate? Cause she shouldn't turn hostile if you do that and pass any skill check (or a Rugan on your side) with her when you walk in. But summons (like shovel) tend to bug them out to turn hostile.

taking the chest results in rugan being tied to a chair and beat up for it. they made him talk and they just know what happened to the chest.
It the zhentarim, it is like stealing coke from a organisation in real life. here you end up in a seacontainer underground in a dentist chair getting tortured over a few kilos of coke.

if you played bg1 and 2 you probably know Xzar and Monty, they evil bastards and guess what? They Zhentarim and NOT nice people.

Wrong. I talked Rugan into double crossing them and took the chest (unopened), then went to the hideout, talked my way into it (just to see what happens) and had a talk with Zarys, with multiple options (non-hostile endings included). Noticed a hidden skill check passed though, so that probably influenced my options.

No summons except Wyll's imp from pact of the chain, and no NPCs react to the imp in any way.

According to the wiki, in this scenario you talk to Zarys and she gives you the choice to kill Rugan to gain her trust. She then tells you to complete the delivery, so long as you never opened it.

That's literally what you have to do if you want to sell it to the people and not have them aggro you. Because like the note says, they will know if you open it.

I knew they were there from a previous playthrough so i took the box unopened there. I was not strong enough to save anyone from that caravan, only survive heavily using the tadpole.

Question was only if i screw myself not getting act 3 missions if i kill the lot, because she mentions "come and see me in the city"

But i never saw her. I guess that would have been upper Baldur that was cut from the game. Since nine-fingers gang seems to rule lower Baldur.
