The evil path sucks
It has no content, fix it larian, let the player recruit Sazza the goblin and the goblin at moonrise tower

There should be evil-only NPCs that can only be recruited on an evil playthrough. Minthara is one, but that's it. BG1 and 2 had evil NPcs (Korgan, Dorn, Shar-teel, Viconia, etc etc) so evil playthrough were viable and even fun. Pathfinder 1 and 2
there aren't enough companions in the game to do something like this. You either go very light on characterisation where a character's personality can be boiled down to a few combat barks and have 20 of them like in bg1 and 2, or go very deep on a select few like in bg3. I prefer the half way point like in pathfinder of pillars of eternity

Worst part about evil playthrough is you find out Minthara isn't even evil.

At least you can have shadowheart and astarion fully evil.

It is great to be locked out of five characters for a sixth that had their content cut with most of act 3 🤡
My current playthrough - the second one, as well - is Tactical Dark Urge Evil.

I WANTED to raid the Grove, but getting Minthara in act 2 feels like a pretty poor reward.

Along with that, losing Karlach just hurts my soul.

I wish that, for the Evil players, we could have it feel like we aren't just POSes. I feel awful doing an Evil playthrough because my first playthrough is normally my 'What would I do' run where I'm more Neutral/Chaotic Good than Evil, so I learn who I like and see the most I possibly can.

Feels bad when I wanna be Evil and feel hollow while doing so.

Yeah she will like witty/snarky dialogue options but not really that evil. Rather just conflicted.

The only reason to go for an evil path is if you're interested in romancing Astarion or Minthara, or you want a Dark Justiciar Shadowheart.

I wanted to see two out of those three things, so I didn't mind going down the evil path.

The game doesn't really properly account for evil choices. You need to be a mindless true soul or you're treated as a hero.

For example, I chose to kill all the goblins because the true souls are annoying and were talking down to my character. They also just give better rewards and a more interesting fight. However in doing this I'm treated as a hero because it also saves the grove when really I kept them around because I like having a reliable vendors.

Minthara is evil in the sense most every evil choice you make she approves of, alot like leazel she can very much bend good or evil but her reactions to the mean and cruel are positive lol I told a lost kid to bug off she approved, I told that same kid as a drow dialog that she would be killed as a drow child she approved xD

Her ultimate goal is to take control of the brain in the end and use it for our means like the original 3 had planned so hardly good

Of course it sucks, you only get a Dark Elf as your girl and that's it.
And even then she is half baked or not even completed.

Common problem with RPGs; lackluster evil routes.

Nothing new, really.
pathfinder wotr lets you be evil and still get fun content
The evil routes were really dull, wym? Especially lich

I don't really know why so many people think that an evil character needs to join the cultists. Are you playing some sort of Saturday morning cartoon character who carries around their team evil membership card and feel that its your duty to stick with the goblins because they are 'team evil'? They attacked you in your home, kidnapped you, and violated your brain meats with a mind eating parasite. What profit is there in joining them that is causing you to decide to forgive those insults?

I'm still waiting for it to be content complete before tackling it myself. If it's anything like Kingmaker, then I think I'm good. :lunar2019grinningpig:
is the cut content as big of an issue in wotr as it is for bg3? I still haven't finished either, but being a lich in wotr rocks so far, and with loads of interesting missions and conversations surrounding it
Nothing compared to BG3's cut content, BG3 is genuinely unfinished, unlike wotr.

Tell that to the gold dragon path.

And still baffles me to this day that 99,99% of people shilling for this game even right now. If you play as even youre punished and some of the characters are completely empty in the end. Most annoying what they wrote in their update that they didnt know people would want properly ending for your companions that ends their journey in meaningful way. Spending +100 hours and having sloppy dialogues in the end with companions doesnt make this game good.

Bad game design. It should be relevant in first run too.
