dark urge questions

so im planning on starting dark urge tomorrow and i wanna know is there companions who leave if i embrace the urge or can i get like checks to make them stay

I only just completed Act I, so things could be different later, but I've yet to run into a single choice that will make a companion leave. Serious disapproval, yes. Leave, not yet anyway.

I did a dark urge + evil playthrough my companions were Lazeal, Gale, and Minthara. They were all neutral or approving for most Urges.
I stabbed Astarion but before that he was really chill with Urges as well.

I skipped Shadowheart to see what would happen so no tips there(don't do it).
Obviously Karlach and Will could not be recruited on my route but they hate you even being rude most of the time so they probably will not like it.

After killing my lover and the rest of the camp finding out, I was forced to slaughter the entire lot of them in self defense.

Had to play the rest of the game with Hirelings, because even on Explorer difficulty, the Dark Urge still isn't strong enough to solo the game.

Dark Urge is a neutral wildcard, not connected to the other characters in the world. Its basically the same as custom, but with a storyline to play with. That said... you will have to tread carefully. There are ways you can lock yourself out of other companions as the urge.

I'm currently playing Durge and the only companions I have available are Shadowheart, Laezel and Astarion because the rest have either been appalled at my actions are died by my hand. Some have become hands at my hand. Or rather my mouth?

Well, yes, if your main camp supplies are fava beans and Chianti, the companions likely won't make it back to camp.
