Karlach's Questline Unfinished?

I've hear rumours everyone favourite loud Tiefling was a late edition to the roster of companions so perhaps this explains why so much of her story feels unfinished.
Dammon the Blacksmith makes mention after the second infernal engine upgrade (for me this was in Act 2) that there may be a cure of Karlach's condition, he's still working on the mechanics of it but we should prepare for the worst. (its weird because Karlach says "You heard Dammon there is no cure for this, its hell or bust." despite the fact Dammon just expressly mentioned there is a Cure.)

Looked as I did though there seems no way to resolve this questline despite the fact you can change the fate of upmost everyone else in your group; like Gale.
It feels weird because the game gives you alot of infernal iron in act 3 and "Superior" infernal iron but nothing ever comes of it. Is there a resolution for Karlach in Act3? Because shes sadly very underdeveloped in the final act of the game.
I hope Larian add on in as part of content updates or at least make it more obvious what to do. They did an amazing job with the character of Karlach and its sad that there is no satisfying resolution like there is for all the other NPCS. As it stands Karlach's questline feels very disjointed.

Her questline feels like they had the bare outline of what it would be but then just ran out of time before they could implement any of it and decided to just call it good. 2 conversations with a blacksmith isn't a questline.

her quest line definitely is missing stuff cause if you pt with her even an npc will tell her to go and get her upgrade cause shes using a prototype in act 3, not to mention theres infernal metal and upgraded metal in the game

I don't know if this is because Dammon died in act 2 or not, but once I got to Act 3, Karlach's quest just told me to go confront Gortash.

Like... that was it... just go kill one of the three Chosen.

No fancy side quest, or any story related content. Just walk into palace and kill the bastard.

this was posted in a discussion already but they cut her good ending, which is sad and hopefully they add back in i'd like to see the girl have her happy ending . (meaning it was made but was cut content) pray for definitive edition

The upper city was scrapped which was important to her questline to fully repair the engine and save her life. But the city being scrapped also means no happy karlach.

There is resolution, and a couple of them even feel quite good. It's just not the happily ever after people want. Technically we only have access to her "failed state" ending that we would get if we didn't properly resolve her entire quest chain since we can't do in the current state of the game but her joint ending with Wyll is quite satisfying even if that also has glaring issues. She mentions Zariel will know she's back in Avernus instantly and come reclaim her and even though Wyll says he'll protect her, since his pact with Mizora is over that means so are his Warlock powers as well, so Wyll at that point is technically a pleb and will almost certainly not be able to survive Avernus for long, much less protect Karlach. Also the scene ends very abruptly with Karlach yelling they have to go NOW and the camera panning to the sky and fading to black, no word of goodbye from either of them and not even a visual of them opening a portal to Avernus, which btw how would they even open at the spot?Oh yeah, hocus pocus. Nice

Wyll is not really a pleb after he loses his power. He is still meant to be a very skilled swordsman, and after his punishment by mizora. A devil. So he is a lot stronger than one would expect.

Karalch complete resolution and her quest was cut. I guess it'd be because it would involve Avernus, which is also a cut area.

No, that's just what happens. They cut her final Act quests and events and left you with 1 date and then her fail-state endings.

The objectively best ending being going with her together to hell is a bit anticlimactic, i really hope they'll add whats evidently missing over time. With how many bugs are present in act 3 i do understand the decision to leave it out but cmon man. :(
