6 Man Party, No Mods!
Alright, so I discovered this last night by complete accident. It turns out that there is a way for you to get a party of 6 people, without using mods! But you can only do so while on the nautiloid.

The secret to doing this, is of course, to use the multiplayer exploit and creating a full party. However, one of these party members must choose the Lae'zel origin character, instead of making a custom Tav.

After getting through the typical opening for the game, have Lae'zel run up to the area where you would usually encounter her. Instead of her dropping down to confront you, you will now encounter a completely new Githyanki that takes her place.

I am assuming that this unique NPC's was made specifically so that anybody who tries to play as Lae'zel or Shadowheart in the opening won't be down a party member. Even better, he is carrying his own set of Githyanki armor that you can steal off him without having to murder Lae'zel.

-----------------------------

Once he's in the party, you should now have 5 people instead of 4. From there, you progress the game up to the point where you encounter Shadowheart. Normally, Shadowheart will not join you if you have 4 custom Tavs in your party. But if you only have 3 customs, along with Lae'zel, then she will not recognize your party as being full up and will join you.

Well, it turns out she's scripted to ignore Lae'zel even if they're being controlled by a player. Which means she won't recognize your 4th party member, or their temporary NPC replacement.

This will allow you to recruit her onto the team, and increase your party cap size to 6 members without having to mod the game in the process!

--------------------------------

Killing Zhalk became a hell of a lot easier when we had 6 people wailing on him, instead of 4. :-)

I just attempted it a second time, and managed to get a 6 man party on the nautiloid again.

But this ONLY works on the nautiloid, where you can exploit the game's scripting to recruit Shadowheart and / or Lae'zel as extra party members. Once you land on the beach, you're back down to 4 members again.
