Remeber when Companions were.... interesting?

-Asterion: Sex pest extraordinaire and would be rapist. One dimensional and only craves power after mentioning how he was a slave for the 100th time. Can become more interesting if you choose to deny him his appetites by then youll be denying yourself the more fun gameplay aspects of the character. You also get a worse ending for him by not allowing him to be a freak 1/10

- Wyll: Your boring goody two shoes. If he isnt talking about how much he disappointed his daddy hes reminding you how guiluble he is. Giving huge Ashley vibes from Mass Effect (including being a racist) 2/10 only because you can bang his master

-Gale: Generic White Protagonist #43. Given a decently interesting backstory only to be shrouded in his sexual frustration and angst. I can't believe this is the man who banged magic incarnate. 3/10 because you can ask him to commit suicide

-Jahera: One of the more interesting companions, too bad she is only in less than half the game, and you barely get to interact with her on the same level as the others. Incredible voice actress, and has one of my more memorable moments in the game when taking her to see her kids. 6/10 for being an absentee mother

-ShadowHeart: Less one dimensional than other companions. Gets the best character content in the game and its clear someone at Larian loves her dearly. 7/10 for polyamory/non monogamy representation and for being a lowkey freak

- Karlach: One of the better written characters who like Jaheara suffers from cuts and a lack of completion. She unfortunately has the single worst ending for any character (other than Minthara) and is the one missing the most content related to her. 5/10, possible 8/10 if content comes back

-Minthara: Like Karlach she is missing most of her content. However based on how you are supposed to recruit her (either being evil or proceeding down a very gltichy and unstable route) she is suffers greatly. Most wont get to see her and even fewer get to experience her abrupt and unfinished end. 4/10, possible 9/10 with content added back

-Lae'Zel: for being what amounts to the poster character I expected something a bit more fleshed out. Shes essentially a child indoctrinated by her dumbass religion akin to scientology. The effort necessary to get her to a likeable place is not worth the satisfaction of leaving her corpse somewhere for the Gith to find years from now. Bringing her along is more of a liability than boon in most cases 4/10 for being religious

-Halsin: nothing is better than meeting halsin for the first time and him asking to ♥♥♥♥. 9/10 for the sheer audacity. 10/10 for being a bear

-Minsc and Boo: Whoever made the descion to move Misnc from Act 1 to almost the end of Act .... you ruined what could have been one of the best companions. 0/10 for Minsc, 10/10 for Boo

Bonus:
-The Emperor: Incel and actual rapist who gaslights you into thinking hes a good guy then ♥♥♥♥♥ off if you ever at any point resist what he wants 0/10 for being a complete waste of time. All future playthroughs will have the Emperor dying immediately
