Why does nobody care about the music anymore`?
For me its more important than the visuals. Hardly any reviews mention the music??
Is it as good as BG1 and 2? Is it as amazing as "Throne of Baal" ?? Or is it one of the best ever like "Icewind Dale" ?

Im just so tired of the indifference to audio in the year 2023.

You can listen to the soundtrack online

The music in BG3 is an absolute travesty.

When you can even hear it at all, it doesn't match what's going on 99% of the time... like the battle music: literally the *worst* I've ever heard in my life. It puts me to sleep.

I always turn music off and have ambient, environment, effect etc sounds turned up.

Am I alone in that?

I disagree.

I personally love the soundtrack. Ive had several of the songs stuck in my head since the game released.

i just came back from a youtube listen....It does sound very generic...Like it was done by AI..
I will give it another try later....

Nah im the same. either its just boring and repetitive or just get in the way of playing most of the time.

Music is pretty good. Strikes that right balance of being present but not completely overtaking the action onscreen for the most part.

Good leitmotif usage as well.

I didn't mention it in my review either. I think it's good, but so much of this game is excellent that it gets lost in everything else.

"Down by the River" is an ear worm though. The double entendre was intended.

never really paid much attention to music in games. the only music I remember is from the opening of skyrim

It's not Ludovico Einaudi, but OST is pretty good, I absolutely love leitmotivs from DOS2 used in few tracks.

And battle themes that react to battle while not new, is always a joy when they hit in right spot.

I think it's a background experience for a lot of people, but good question nonetheless.

Music is alright, but DOS2's music is WAY better imo

Because when the visuals are already bugging out, you've had to reload a quest 3 times due to bugs that stop from completing them, your character only getting through said quest with dialogue options that are either so ambiguous that you may as well have not said anything or so unfitting that it would break your immersion, and you're noticing ♥♥♥♥ not acting according to canonical lore as you've DM'd for over a decade...The music isn't going to help at that point.
