When you can even hear it at all, it doesn't match what's going on 99% of the time... like the battle music: literally the *worst* I've ever heard in my life. It puts me to sleep.
Am I alone in that?

Nah im the same. either its just boring and repetitive or just get in the way of playing most of the time.
Good leitmotif usage as well.
I disagree.
"Down by the River" is an ear worm though. The double entendre was intended.
And battle themes that react to battle while not new, is always a joy when they hit in right spot.
