If you want to cheese it, make Astarian into a Thief, give him a longbow, three fire arrows and boots which allow him to web walk. Sneak in alone, locate the three clumps of eggs (two topside, and one below) and take them out using the bow and flame arrows,. Then stay top side and hide while shooting down (sneak attack) and constantly hiding and moving. He will be able to solo the whole thing providing you never get spotted, which is super easy.
I have won that fight many times at level 4 and occasionally at level 3 (though I found that tough). Don't clump all the party together, spread them out a bit. If you have a dwarf in the party they have poison resistance.
It helps if one of your characters is wearing the boots that can walk on webs without getting stuck (they are found in this general area).
If you drop the matriarch down from a web early, it sometimes takes her several rounds to teleport back, allowing you to nail the other phase spiders.
As BigAlzBub said, use the combination of thrown grease bottles and fire arrows to take out the three clusters of eggs before they hatch and before the spiders see you.
Dropping the matriarch by shooting out the web from under her is very good for damage and she often teleports onto a web, but breaking the web can be a bit buggy (sometimes it works well, other times the web doesn't burn away).
I've never had a problem with them not burning away, but I don't doubt that it could happen.
From stealth, if you start turn based mode in stealth and take her down destroying the web, then use a lot of powerful spells. Requires a more min-maxed party tough, at least gale and Wyll with a lot of damage spells, and a high ranged DPS main character (I.E. a sorcerer using twinned casted chromatic orb or someone with 2 1hand crossbows using the wyvern poison).
I did it at lvl 3.
Spreading out helped me. It is a bunch of hyper mobile enemies, take a hard stance at one point they’re going to swarm you. On the other hand, if you spread out and just disengage when there are too many, you can flex people to different places and defeat them in the detail.
I put caster and warrior up top, then rogue and ranger on the bottom torching nests and kiting.
