Perhaps there is a stigma tethered to it for some but I think the idea of playing as the opposite sex has a sort of intrinsic appeal for most simply because in this way people can try to give a shape and identity to an ideal they are attracted to.
It's weird you stare at the character's ass instead of playing the game, there's much cheaper and better porn.
If you think it is about sexual orientation or gender identity that is not always the case seeing as I am a straight male.
What is your objection to guys liking to play female characters? just curious.
In this game isnt obvious? TO make the Wifu of your laifu and run all around praising all that natural beauty made by the gods!
I can't deny I looked sometimes to Geralt's in the witcher, but dude I almost don't look at the characters outside os the dialogs
Wrong, it's actually the opposite. Most of men that spend a lot of their free time gaming are on an age that women won't pay attention to them. Lack of money, lack of looks, not mature enough, shy, etc. It's nothing close to god/slave, is more like a way to "cover" a need to connect.
I personally don't really identify with my characters, i merely have ideas for interesting characters (looks, background, personality) and create them ingame, like someone would write a character for a book or a movie.
In regards to my characters i see myself more like a creator and observer at the same time, but i never really insert myself into them.
