Sure, it'll be easier, but there's ingame ways to work around it.
Because Friends makes people upset even if the convo turns out well, and Friends only works on Charisma checks. Enhance Ability can be used for everything.
Not at all. Checks other than Charisma checks come up all the time in dialogues, and there will also be times where a single target effect like Friends or Charm Person will be insufficient. Enhance Ability is just more reliable because it's a self-buff.
And I have ran into the 30 DC persuasion checks.
It might also be affected by the NPCs attitude toward them but I am a good boy who hasn't played with that aspect of the game so cannot confirm if it is like DOS2 in that regard.
