Gale may cause great evil because of his egomaniac antics but he favours good actions and helping others. Astarion dislikes anything remotely good
Core group? I'm testing a custom tiefling right now in EA, he doesn't seem very special so far, but I'd like to compare him to the new tiefling NPC, Kreplach or whatever her name is, when the game comes out. If she's good, add the vampire, and SH for lock picking and cheap spells (Gale gets killed too easily), and that's my starter pack.
Gale is a player and ya'll are getting played.
You're not supposed to. Larian outright stated the companions we have in EA are supposed to be the evil party members, because they were afraid nobody would want to use them after full release.
I’m hoping to play as his Origin and then be something else, if possible. Also then I won’t have to hear his smarmy smug poshness.
Make him a Light Cleric, and the next time his master shows up, blast him with Channel Divinity. :-)
Not really?
It's like replacing Hitler with Genghis Khan. Sure, you killed an extremely evil person, but you replaced them with somebody who wasn't much better.
