After all, why let us keep his hand for the future?
"Hey man, looks like you need a hand."
Also you might want to spoiler this.
Oh that'd be awesome. Imagine if every time you fast traveled you had a random chance to find another piece of Gales corpse. Collect them all and you can take them to Withers for resurrection...
Meanwhile Shadowheart is sitting in your camp like, "Where tf do you keep finding these body parts??"
Gotta collect them all....'
It was showcased in the last panel from Hell, and Gale's magical affliction has been revealed since day one of Early Access 3 years ago.
Not sure who or what I'm spoiling here?
Weirdly enough, you can still romance it.
Imagine getting rejected by your hand.
Nope. It is just implied that he is dead. You get his hand for some reason but even data mining has shown that there is no reason for it in relation to Gale. I just yeeted the hand into a lake.
Which is weird, because Elminster stated that Mystra is convinced Gale might be the only person capable of actually ending the threat of The Absolute.
So letting Gale die in some half formed pocket dimension, instead of doing something to save / resurrect him makes it sound like she's prepared to sit back and let The Absolute destroy / enslave everything.
