How do you actually use the amulet of lost voices?

finding it is easy enough, and also explained all over the internet. But I can't see how to use it, even when going specifically after tasks where spoiler sites say you can...

it show up in your general abilities while you are wearing it.

Is that the one that lets you talk to the dead?

Find a corpse that’s not a skeleton or suffering from some kind of elemental attack (burned, electrocuted, etc, corpses without mouths can’t talk) then just cast it on them.

If it’s not that item then idk.

Skills given by items show up on your skill bar where “attack/jump/etc” are. You must be wearing it as well.

You cast the spell (on yourself) and you can then talk all day until long rest.

You get a limited amount of questions per entity, you can freely recast it on others after.
You can talk to the dead if they aren't too damaged BUT if your party killed them you might want to use a spell disguise or they can refuse to speak to you.

Once you have used the spell the first time, the ones that you can interact with will have a blue outline.

The first time you use it each day, it's in your Common abilities. After that, it's in your special additional abilities section to recast it.

Woah woah woah, you can use it multiple times after the initial cast?! I’ve been saving it thinking I can use it once.

how do you do that, input wise. I can't rightclick the amulet to cast, if I drag it to a hotbar it's greyed out, if I right click corpses I have no interaction to trigger it.

so this corpse can be talked to, but I just don't see how. I have the thing equipped, it can't be used. There is no interaction

At the very bottom where your bar is you have custom selected, go to the 4 diamonds or common, it should be under common not custom. I think you can't see it because you are in custom. That will bring up to cast the spell. Select the target undead. After that initial cast it will be to the far right of that bar, near the camp buttons.

Make sure the amulet is equipped. Under Common there should be the spell. Select undead body you wanna talk to. Spell can be cast again from the right side of the hotbar.

Neither.

Wear the amulet. Now look at the Action section of your hotbar. There's a new icon there for casting the spell Speak With Dead. You don't click the amulet. You click the spell that was automatically added when you put it on.

as i wear such a amulet i haved on the left side of skill bar, where jump , sneak and ♥♥♥♥ is, the skill with talk to dead. this you use for it.
