Why Astarion doesn't try to bite me?

I'm playing dark Urge and he never tried to bite me after 5 nights. He revealed he was a vampire to me during a conversation at camp though. Is it normal? I wanted to unlock his bite attack. Thanks.

Would be stupid if playing Dark Urge blocks other conversations...

Did you get the cut scene even after he admitted he was a vampire in the camp conversation, or was it a distant run through?

yeah im having this issue too. i've haven't even come across the boar scene and to think of it i haven't even gotten raphael to spot me yet. i've done the grove scene, the blighted village stuff, karlach's scene, the temple, all while taking rests (cus magic users need. so much rest.) and it still haven't played out yet.

Vampires can be shy too and need their time...or maybe he was simply not interested in you ;-)

Seems like the dark urge cutscenes take more priority than any other. In my latest dark urge run I already did like 3 long rests, and the dream guardian is still a no show, Astarion still doesn't bite me, but I already killed Quil and met Sceleritas Fel.

If you go to the under-dark he opens up fast

He will not bite you, if he told you already that he is a vampire.

If you want the biting scene, you need to rest often enough until you get the scene, before you speak with the hunter near the hag's hut.

Hmm you can still get the bite scene cause he will always say he is not such and when the bite scene hap[pens can say how dumb you where for not picking up on the boar and the hunter, going to the underdark early is the only way I have missed it

Boar doesnt matter, it just adds a dialogue line when he tries to bite you. Maybe you havent spoked to him about something? Idk it works for me every time super early, like around 4th long rest or smth

Maybe try not eating so much garlic in your food before going to sleep. Vampires hate garlic.

I would love if you could just yell at him, "Bite me Astarion! BITE ME!" (LOL)

Since this is a thread resurrected 6 month after its demise, I'm going to say "lack of timely follow-up" may have something to do with it. Even the undead have limited patience.
