Sorcadins don't work amazingly in this game (Decent, but not TTRPG good), but typically you would want to go Paladin 2/Sorceror 10.
then is there any other source that has good builds? and i just realized i meant to say paladin/cleric and not paladin/sorc.
as for were to find builds i'd say youtube. D4 for example made dedicated videos for BG3 alongside his usual dnd videos.
and in general: you can look up any dnd build you like (as long as they are not targeted at lvl 20). most builds perform just as fine in bg3.
in addition as already mentioned by others - you can always respec at withers for a few coins.
Just want to reinforce this. Fextralife makes horrible builds for every game, pumping out complete falsities for clicks to try to ride every bandwaggon in gaming. It is 100% a noob trap.
Honestly you would do better reading general 5e guides just to get an understanding of the classes.
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/fighter/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/barbarian/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/bard/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/cleric/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/druid/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/monk/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/paladin/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/ranger/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/rogue/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/sorcerer/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/warlock/
https://rpgbot.net/dnd5/characters/classes/wizard/
Then once you have an understanding you can play around with cross classes. Even on honour mode you can go 1-12 with a balanced party with no cross classing and still dominate the game
Be a man.
You think i read any guide when i started? i learned everything myself, step by step, making thousands of mistakes, and i enjoyed every single moment of it because I EARNED IT, in the end, nobody helped ME EARN IT.
1. Build a pure Fighter
2. Pick Eldritch Knight at level 3
3. Equip accessories that increase throwing damage, like the 'Ring of Flinging"
4. Take the Tavern Brawler perk at level 4, and boost your Str to 18
5. Equip 'The Sparkle Hands' gloves you find in the ancient Druid Circle in the swamp
6. Equip and Bind 'The Sparky Points' trident you get as a quest reward for rescuing Counsellor Florrick from the burning inn.
7. Press X to one-shot enemies with electrically super-charged spear tosses that automatically return to your hand after each throw.
EDIT: Oh wait, I missed the part about raising dead.
Yeah, the best builds for raising dead pretty much necessitate level 6+ Wizard with the Necromancy specialty - they get some SICK subclass bonuses for Animate Dead. It's pretty much a must-have if you intend to raise undead armies.
https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Necromancy_School
Wizards, Clerics, Druids (Circle of Spores) and Warlocks (Pact of the Tome) get it at level 5, which can be achieved roughly 3/4 through Act 1.
Sorcerers can't actually learn Animate dead at all :P
They don't really do Necromancy spells.
If you really wanna go Paladin, I recommend Paladin 7 / Warlock 5, because both are CHA based casters and have great synergy.
You COULD also go Paladin 6 / Wizard 6, but that pretty much hinges on you relying on the Circlet of Intellect for your int score - thereby taking up your head-slot.
it's an accessory that sets your Int score to 17 and can be gained from a hard-to-miss encounter super early in the game. Just look for a particularly erudite ogre, answer "no" when he asks you if you have 'the mark,' and then kill him when he and his buddies engage you.
