Forgot to recruit Wyll

After initially entering the emerald grove I forgot to talk to Wyll and went on doing quests and only 3 hours later remembered about him only to find that he is no longer in that training area with tieflings, is there any other place I will meet him or thats it I lost him?

If I remember correctly from Early Access, he should be outside the gates of the Emerald Grove, waiting to talk to you as you leave.

If they've moved him in full release, then I don't know where he would have gone.

Wyll was inside the grove on the sword training platform in EA, he's in the same place in full release.

The same happened to me. The guy is gone now. I havent been able to find anyone who can answer the question on Larian's Discord either.

We didnt recrute him at all and when we got Karlach he showed up at our camp wanting to fight but you can talk him down

This didn't happen for me, so now im worried ive completely missed a character

I didn't like Wyll my first character so didn't bother to bring him into camp and went to act 2. Which left me without Karlach either, however I was able to go back and find her but not Wyll. Which is fine my character didn't like him when we first met. Same with Astarian, he tried to ambush me so I told him to f off immediately.

Second character I did allow Astarian and Wyll to join. Funny thing though is during the first deep Gale conversation I did something that offended him, failed the saving through and he left permanently. That's pretty funny actually and also fine since on two different characters I have different NPCs hanging with me.

TLDR: don't go to act 2 until you have all the characters in your camp if you want them.

Wyll is pretty much useless anyway. Having him in the party was never much help to me, and he has a ton of emotional baggage that makes him annoying to have around.

I've made some mistakes with potential followers aswell, raided the goblin camp, killed everything, Kicked some evil looking drow down a casm. Later by browsing the forums read you could recruit her....oh well :p

Only if you join the goblins you have to kill her if you dont

I deliberately avoided getting Gale, I'm not going to feed his addiction, he can find his own artifacts to eat - I'm keeping mine. One of the best RP decisions I made in this game.
