Do you you accept failed speak checks?
Or do you quicksave in full auto and instantly reload as soon as a puplic dicerole failed?

For the first couple of runs I will just go with the flow and accept what happens.
Min-maxing and exploiting quicksaves sucks the fun out of it for me.
Failure can lead to a better story.
But to each their own.

Maybe later down the road for science - to see what would happen.

No I roll back with Inspiration because I have loads of them and they refilled themselves.

First playthrough I don't save scum. Future playthroughs it's anything goes.

Depends on how ridiculous it is.
If I have 20 charisma and 3 different multipliers and I roll a 2... yea, Im gonna reload.

Depends, if it leads to pointless fight then I will reload if not then I will go with the flow

I use inspiration. Before that, I accepted what happened.

No save scumming on my end. I'll live with whatever rolls I get.

For new ones I just go with whatever happens. If I want to see different outcome I would savescum, but usualy I have plenty of inspiration for rerolls.

It's quite intersting to see how different things play out. In my current run I failed all options to ask Shadowheart about her religion, so she just told me herself when approval got quite high.

I sometimes re-roll them with inspiration points, if I think it important and the chance is reasonable. But I cannot really be bothered to reload every time something doesn't work as expected. And as Grimmsch says: sometimes a failure can open a different path.

The game was written and designed to be played through. For that reason I can expect that the devs have solutions for when things go awry, like ending up in jail.

The entire game is made around failing at times and making that give new opportunites, so no, simply save scumming means you are going to miss just as much as if you did everything well.

Well i am fine with fail checks that avoid a fight and fail to shorten a way, but failed checks that end me stuck with a quest is a different thing.
With the amount of inspirations i get.
I never need to.
Between guidance, lucky and good stats i always rolled enough.
Now i will admit some save scumming knowledge role.
I will build the shadow wands myself.
I dont care how many times i have to reload to get a natural 20 because ♥♥♥♥ 30 dc skillcheck.
I find that the game is very anti magic.
But what else is new.
I havent played a D&D games where magic didnt suck since solasta.

I accept the fact that I miss-roll apart from when it breaks my oath and I didn't mean it to, playing as a paladin

Theres nothing wrong with people "save scumming" if that's how they want to play. You're not missing anything if that's how you enjoy the game.

I only save scum if I feel like the selected option(s) come with an outcome that isn't made clear enough, like if an NPC asks:

"Would you like a cup of tea?"
...and I have an option for "No", but instead of just saying "No" my character stabs the lady in the eye, says "No" and then proceeds to burn down her entire house...I will reload and redo my choice.

For example right now meeting Halsing for the first time I didn't realize that I was forced to fight him as his enemy if I just wanted to leave the conversation with the Goblins without wanting to hurt Halsing.
