Escape key not opening menu

Played a little bit today with a friend. Wanted to reload something, moved from place to place and found myself unable to do so despite being able to earlier. Restarting the game seemed to fix the bug, but assuming it could reoccur, I wanted to see if anyone else has encountered it yet, or knows how to fix it.

Hi, Just got the issue!
F5\F8 fixes the problem...
But! the reason of it is in another bug!
I get Lae'zel as a minion after saving her from Orin!
I can’t get rid of her, I can’t open her inventory.
And when I click to level up her - I get a bug of topic again.

Friedn also had issue; had to alt+F4, but my menu still worked (controller)

Just had this issue myself. Thank you all for perfect tips, as I was in a bit of a panic and couldn't think straight. But a quick F5 and Alt-F4 and everything was golden! Thank you!

This was the fix for me. A quick refresh without losing progress, F5 and then F8.
