Dual wielding berserker barbarian?
It looks like their abilities favor wielding one weapon but the icon shows two weapons…

Is it actually advantageous to wield two weapons?

Dual wielding is weaker than using a 2h weapon because you can only use your offhand once, but you can take multiple actions with your mainhand.

But dual wielding do be lit af tho. Two weapons obvs means double twice the power.

There's no reason to dual-wield as a Berserker unless you have a pair of really nice magic one-handed weapons.

Berserker is anti-synergy with dual wielding, since you can already attack as a bonus action.

Barbs favour 2handed weapons much more in general here. Berserker especially because their special strike is a bonus action, so they have no actions to properly dual wield and lack style feat to have be added ability bonus to offhand weapon.

dual wielding is where 5e suxs jet again in video gaming... and the feats to support dual wielding melee are even worse just cos GWM feat is broken.

So we just gonna have to wait and see if devs did anything to make it better in bg 3.

if it had more utility like giving players extra special off hand attacks... anything really would go along way.

Take the Dual Wielder feat, and you can use full sized weapons, most of which are Strength based. ;-)

Just have to use a mod to dual wield two 2h weapons guys. the 2nd 2h would be for looks and a pure stat stick xD but the damage would be equal to the main hand weapons Base damage so your off hand 2h would be something with as many elements & stats on it as you can xD

It's def lit af but unfortunately swinging 7x with 8 dmg weapons will still be weaker than swinging 6x with a 12.

There is items and abilities in the game that give extra bonus actions. But I guess that could just be more two hander swings. I bet there is weapons that have synergy from dual wielding.

Nothing some good ol weapon enchantments can't make up for.

Doesn't matter how hard you hit the enemy, as long as you still manage to get their HP down to 0.

From what I've heard, it sounds like magic items are gonna become much more common in later acts of the game than what we have in EA right now.

True? Extra bonus actions would def help dual wielding and martial arts.

Rogue thief subclass is one. And I have seen at least one item in EA that gives a bonus action when you health is below a threshold.

If you're gonna die in battle, you want to make sure you look cool doing it!
Dual wielding is unfortunately kinda of terrible in 5e, i cant recall many builds that ever suggest doing it. Rogues use it mostly in case they miss there first sneak attack, but mechanically and optimally two handed will always win. Especially with things like great weapon master that gives you a wooping +10 damage.

Rangers used to get the Two Weapon Fighting for free at level 2, but I presume that's been changed now in 5th edition.
