Exactly what I was thinking for my first run.
War for the war god.
So how does Divine Intervention work, in-game / in-lore?
It has been a long time since I used Forgotten Realms.
I see domain making a difference in spells and cantrips, but not the god. Does really it make any difference which god I choose?
Hard to pick between Bhaal, Vlaakith, or Corellon Larethion.
Bhaal - because my second character is gonna be Dark Urge, and it seems appropriate.
Vlaakith - because I'm eager to give War Cleric and Githyanki a try.
Corellon Larethian - because I want to role play my Seldarine Drow as someone seeking to atone for the evil his people have committed.
If you actually do this for a play-through please give some feedback in the forums. It's so tempting but cleric is like 7th on my priority list of characters to play.
In a similar manner, A gith cleric of Vlaakith. I would have chosen another race just to annoy Laezel and the other Gith, but only gith can select Vlaakith as a deity. Hopefully it has some interesting interactions in the game.
Loviatar If she gets added for player cleric options and not just npcs.
Is Talona no longer a deity in 5th Edition Forgotten realms?
I did get Minthara to cringe when I revealed myself to be a Bhaal worshiper which gave me a chuckle.
