Yeah but I wish that weren't the case... I really loved EVERYTHING about Divinity Original Sin 2 except the combat, which is a shame because I am a sucker for medieval fantasy games and this game will likely be be a monumental achievement.
edit:
That game is what originally got me interested in Tactical RPGs.
If you don't like the tactical what whats there, I'll write you a doctor's note that you never have to try one again.
Once you feel a bit more comfortable, you can always just turn the difficulty back up.
Loved it. Them pieces felt so fancy.

Nothing.
You just don't like it. Nuthin` wrong with dat.
"Game over man".
Turn based combat and movement allows for much more tactics and planning. I think you're just not trying hard enough to be honest. It sounds like you've not attempted to even try to learn it.
You said you loved DoS2, does that mean you completed the game? Or did you get to the first combat and pitch a fit?
If you made it through DoS2, even with the combat you don't want to learn or try to understand, then you can get through BG3, especially as the story and characters will be better.
My pleasure. I think I also had a He-Man record with the exact same narrator as this commercial, so also the sounds of my childhood.
