The topic's title is how 'Stephen Rooney' sees his character,, who's also the writer for Fane as well.

My intent was to share some behind the scenes stuff that I found,, which you can all find somewhere 'down by the river' lol. No seriously that's where you have to go, since that's what their youtube channel is called. 🏞️

^ The look of Astarion mostly came from the concept artist,, so Stephen didn't have much input on that. (He also thought how Astarion looked younger then what he imagined, & was too "smooth.")

Stephen had the visual of an aging rockstar, that coincidently looked like Astarion's voice actor? He said how Neil Newbon looks more like Astarion then Astarion does... which is one thing he'd change if he had Swen's power.

Did you know Stephen''s original idea of Astarion was to have like a "Medieval Deadpool?" Maybe modders will dress his character as one, where he even looks like Neil Newbon too? They could make all of his dreams come true,, or maybe it will become a nightmare? 😱

Stephen said that naming things is one of his biggest weaknesses, & so the name of Astarion was likely from Swen himself lol. Now when being asked who'd win in a fight between Fane & Astarion,, who do you think he said would win? Stephen also thought about Larian's own version of Smash Bros,, which I would definitely buy & play.

His favorite early access scene with the vampire was about a certain mirror,, & lastly he thinks Gale probably smells better than Astarion. Oh & he would have loved to write Auntie Ethel,, (aka) that's probably his favorite character? <3

He's one of my top favorites,, with Laezel being on top of him.

I mean there is that yes but I'm also a huge vampire fan in general so I take it very personally when people make stupid vampire movies like Twilight. Astarion fits the whole Ann Rice trope to a tee.

Blade, Dracula (Gary Oldman), Mr. Barlow (Salem's Lot), Max (Lost Boys), Arvin and Marlow (30 days of night). THOSE are vampires. Everything else is some lame watered down version that is pretty apt for today's generation.

Man I really need to watch 30 days of night again.

Hey twilight is not bad if you just ignore the fact they don't know much about vampires and make vampire shine in sun lol I love that movie series i just had to say myself it's alright if they don't know about vampires actual facts movie is still good

Hmm They both were cool honestly but i think i will go with Team Edward

But if we talking about movie i was more interested in Bella's experience and how she see the world of vampires and werewolf with her human perspective
and obviously wanted to see how there love were going to work out i remember the part
When Edward left her and she waited for him like body left without it's soul and the weather transition was good can't forgot about that scene

They really messed up with vampire's facts or may be they just wanted to show us there creativity with vampires i don't know but it still was good movie for sure at least for me

It would be easier to like him if he wasnt so over the top and absolutely looks like a clown. Making him look like Neil Newbon would be a big step in the right direction. I dont actually care about his sexuality if i'm honest but he is waaaay to flamboyant to be tolerable
