I am honestly just horrified that people cannot separate fact from fiction and recognize the difference between a wild shaped druid and a feral bear. Then again, there is always the hope said people will wander into the woods...

Well that's the thing - 'beastiality' as a crime or immorality is tied to the real world fact that there's no living beast that can consent on the level required by law.

Having a person shapeshift in fantasy means consent is obtainable.
