Switching Party In Multiplayer: Please Read, Newbies!
Alright, this seems to have been a problem for multiplayer since practically the start of EA, and continues to remain a problem even now.

People don't seem to understand that you can not bench origin characters if somebody else is controlling them at that time. You also can not initiate dialogue with them for the same reason.

If you're in a multiplayer game, and you wish to swap out any of the origin characters for a different one, the host must assume control of said character so they can tell them to leave.

Additionally, all players in the session must be in control of at least 1 character at all times, meaning that any other players in the game at the time can not simply give you control over the character temporarily, unless you give them a replacement character in the process.

Hopefully this clears up the situation, and we'll see a lot less of you trying over and over again to talk to an origin character who keeps saying that they don't want to have a conversation right now.

EDIT: Oh, and you also can't swap out custom party members at all. Once they're in the game, you're stuck with them. So think carefully before trying to make a full custom party.

I'm just gonna bump this thread, because it seems a lot of people missed it and are still making the same mistake.
