Like, we use entertainment to escape from the horrors of reality, pummelling people with reality just ruins the entertainment.
She straight up commented on how "gamers don't like to hear that" when she mentioned the game being political, and she literally asked what kind of message we were supposed to take away from BG3, as well as what the game's core themes and values were.
I swear to you, I am not making that ♥♥♥♥ up. I know it sounds like satire, but that is actually what happened!
- I threw it on the ground, or Johnny Silverhand, probably.
Who would of known that Hippy's had the right political take?
Those of us watching live and commenting here on the forums all collectively called that question cringe.
We also all applauded Swen’s answer where he said “our message is have fun”.
Thats bogus though. I never understood gaming jurnos that hate gamers.
Its like being a teacher that hates children or fire fighter that has a crippling fear of fire or something.. Go build roads or become a plumber if you hate your current job, ya know?
Someone asking a question about the game annoyed you? Seriously? No one was booing her lmao.
Exactly this.
Somebody asking a dumb ass question about the game annoyed me.
Gamers will get angry at random people asking normal questions because they said the word "political" and also are a woman and make a stupid post on steam rather than go to therapy.
It was a great question. Swen talked about how a big theme of the game was trust such as who you can trust and will your companions trust you. You have to actually earn their trust as if you do things they don't like, they'll leave you or try to kill you if they think you're a threat.
A lot of other games, trust isn't really a thing. Bad guys are obviously bad, good guys will follow you until they die, you could be super evil and cruel and people will still be friends with you.
