During one of the gameplay clips the goblin casts a spell that causes the symbol of Bhaal(minus the skull) to appear beneath the dark urge(DU for short). While I don’t think the DU is a direct descendant of Bhaal given that the last Bhaalspawn supposedly died 10 years prior to BG3, the goblin definitely seems to be some kind of Bhaal cultist so it could be that DU is an artificial Bhaalspawn, either by being vat/magic grown or being infused with the blood/essence of a real Bhaalspawn.
Abdel was human. Well half human and half divine being.... I forget who the other was.
One of them is Abdel Adrian the *cough* cannon *cough* protagonist of bg1/2. The other is Viekang. Being Bhaalspawn it greatly extended their natural lifespan. It's not known who killed who, but with one remaining the prophecy was fulfilled and Bhaal was restored to the pantheon.
That's a really good video. Like how the commentator talks. Clear voice and speaks at a normal pace.
Thanks for having the best, most helpful post in this thread.
However, I really do not like the idea of us playing another Bhaalspawn. As far as I was concerned, the Bhaalspawn's story was concluded, and BG3 was the start of a brand new adventure set 100 years after the events.
IF we are playing a surviving Bhaalspawn, then it ruins the sense of accomplishment that we got after finishing the first two games. Bhaal is already resurrected anyways, why does he need another spawn running around?
So wait, what was the point of resurrecting him if he's not a true deity anymore?
I mean, in MY playthrough of ToB, I chose to ascend to the throne as a new deity; but if the 'canon' ending is that I didn't do that and Bhaal returned...
