Neither of the two cultures are fans of Mind Flayers, but the Githzerai are more peaceful and less xenophobic than the Githyanki.
I'll rephrase that - rather than deal with finding a cure for the tadpole (different from 'there's an Illithid over there, let's go kill it) and investigating / destroying the cult of the Absolute.
With that said though, I don't forsee Larian adding them. At least not at release. Modders exist though, so someone will likely make a Githzarai variant for people to use.
Honestly, the major difference between Githzerai and Githyanki, aside from their bonus to Wisdom, and which spell like abilities they receive, is their culture. Both of them belong to the race of Gith, but one of them have adopted the ways of peace, and the other adopted the ways of war.
