They already made it and it was horrible.
Up to Wizards of the Coast. They own the Baldur's Gate IP.
version on PS2 one was great I liked it
Hopefully we never get one similar to the latest dark alliance garbage. I was genuinely looking forward to that and seeing it in the state it was in at launch was heart breaking and frustrating.
Why are you talking about Wizard of the Coast ? do they own Baldur's Gate ?

publisher says Interplay Entertainment Corp. or they sold out ?
It's a remastered port of a game originally released in 2004.
I don't think Interplay has terribly much new going on at the moment, and I'm not sure WotC is all that interested in another action RPG considering how badly the more recent efforts they licensed to that effect bombed.
I'd expect both the Champions of Norrath games getting a touch up before a new Dark Alliance title, tbh.
Interplay hasn't been around since 1998, until they re-opened as Black Isle a couple of years back.
I wouldn't mind a proper revival of OG Dark Alliance. They were fun back in the day.
I believe we're already years behind being respectful to people on the Internet. At this point, it's both myth and a legend of equal measure.
Also, vita mortis careo.
