Up to Wizards of the Coast. They own the Baldur's Gate IP.

You'd probably have to get in contact with someone from Wizards of the Coast to see if that's something they have planned. We don't know anything.
Hopefully we never get one similar to the latest dark alliance garbage. I was genuinely looking forward to that and seeing it in the state it was in at launch was heart breaking and frustrating.

It's a remastered port of a game originally released in 2004.

I don't think Interplay has terribly much new going on at the moment, and I'm not sure WotC is all that interested in another action RPG considering how badly the more recent efforts they licensed to that effect bombed.

I'd expect both the Champions of Norrath games getting a touch up before a new Dark Alliance title, tbh.

It's a remastered port of a game originally released in 2004.

I don't think Interplay has terribly much new going on at the moment, and I'm not sure WotC is all that interested in another action RPG considering how badly the more recent efforts they licensed to that effect bombed.

Interplay hasn't been around since 1998, until they re-opened as Black Isle a couple of years back.

I wouldn't mind a proper revival of OG Dark Alliance. They were fun back in the day.

Apparently Baldur's Gate is ran by D&D nerds, so it's unlikely they'll make it. I bought BG3 thinking it would play like DA1and2, instant uninstall and refund .. I have zero interest in D&D. A dice game with modern graphics for nerds, no wonder it's so perverted .. actual waste of a game. I've already got slammed on reddit for my opinion on the battle mechanics. Pretty sure I found the "cyclists" of the gaming community lol
