Make sure you have nothing in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods
and
<GameDir>\Data\Generated
and
<GameDir>\Data\Public
You might need to verify your files afterwards, after you deleted anything in those directories
Nope, I have not used any modded content.
The absolute closest to that, would probably be me joining somebody else's modded game in multiplayer. But I always check the boxes to hide modded content, or different versions of the game when doing so.
Didn't have anything in Mods. Do you think it might have something to do with Player Profiles? Because I still have the file for those, even though profiles are no longer in the game's current version.
Well, I deleted all the extra profiles, so I've just got the basic Debug 1 thing, and I'm verifying the game cache a second time, hoping that will clear things up.
The game ran fine for me a few times, but finally crashed in one of my attempts to do multiplayer. I tried all the advice, deleted the indicated files multiple times and verified the cache 3 times. Still getting the 'mismatched data' warning.
Finally decided to just uninstall the game and wait for full release. Not sure if a full reinstall will fix it, but as this is said to be the final big patch before full release, I don't have much hope that it will get resolved before then.
That's what I did. I went back and deleted all the other profile folders I had. Only one I didn't touch was the Debug 1, because that profile seems to have already been in the game from day one; so I was nervous about messing with it.
I even deleted the Public profile, which kept getting remade when I verified the cache and relaunched the game.
And as I said, I've never used mods for this, so the mod folder was empty. And yes, I even deleted the folder just to make doubly sure.
(Seems similar to the 2K games getting the launcher and effing up stuff, for me the launcher update extended the time it is required to actually be able to play the game. The time between lauching the game and actually playing that extended noticeably. All thanks to the new launcher.)
