I dont see the necromancer subclass in the Wizard class.

I've watched many videos and they all seem to point out that you get a Necromancer sub-class if you play as Wizard once you hit level 2 but I dont seem to get that option on my play through am i doing something wrong? or did they possibly change it with the new updates? can anyone help me out bc I love Necromancy type characters and altough you get a few select spells for it I can't seem to figure it out.

Aside the ability Grim Harvest which grant you a regen of hit point when you kill someone you don't have anything more than what a current level 5 wizard has to offer.

Apparently I was mistaken I Re-watched and read the forums apparently it will be a subclass for Wizard upon full release but not till your level 6 apparently? but at this point I'm taking that with a grain of salt,for idk if its speculation or fact. a lot of forums are saying their may be 2 subclasses involving necromancer skills one being for Wizard called Necromancy and one other one that they are "hoping will be in the game" called "Pale Master." But according to forums they are two seperate sub-classes and Pale Master not being about nercromancy but something different entirely.
But like i said its just rumor and speculation at this point I guess. In regards to myself I have played a few DND games from like the PS2 days but as far as being knowledgeable of the lore and stuff I cant say I've really followed along that much but i know and understand enough to enjoy the games. Sorry to waste your guy's time it wasn't intentional. I guess we'll find out on launch day.

I do hope there is a strong possability for future Necromancer classes though, given that you have quite a few options in the early release to rais the dead and use necromancer skills. so fingers crossed.

Yes level 6 grant you Undead Thralls which is powerful. To explain it better you will chose the necromancer at level 2 and begin to have powerful subclass mechanics at level 6.
You got a subclass ability at level:
-> 2
-> 6
-> 10
-> 14

I don't know the "Pale Master", it's not PHB so the chance it get there depends on Larians only. Necromancer is PHB so that's an 100% chance to get there.

Either way necromancer would be great to play, necromancer spells are great for most (i just share my opinion on it, some will say it's trash and only need fireball ;) )

There is also the death domain for cleric which i really like a lot, if you want a more frontline character which manipulate the death.

LOL this is so true, an easy death usually means they somehow find a way to survive and you run into them later on

A lot of adventurers seem to forget the entire reason people study necromancy to begin with.

They want to escape death, not jump straight into its jaws!

Necromancer is one of eight Wizard subclasses that is guaranteed to be in the game at release. It is one of the eight Schools of Magic, is content from the Player's Handbook, and is a basic subclass.

All eight Schools will be included as a subclass for Wizards, the eight Schools are:

Evocation
Abjuration
Transmutation
Illusion
Enchantment
Divination
Necromancy
Conjuration

There are also non-PHB subclasses, such as Bladesinger and Artificer, which many hope will be included.

Having a Necro Wizrd subclass is great but, any other character that reads the book Necromancy of Thay should be able to cast more than one zombie or skeleton.

This one level 3 zombie for Shadowheart hits like a truck.
