The majority of drow wore a piwafwi, a fire-resistant, protective cloak, footwear that functioned as boots of elvenkind, and a drow house insignia. The latter showed the House or merchant clan to which a drow belonged, be it as a member or servant. However, with the exception of the First House, insignias weren't openly displayed except when inside the House territory or the clan's base.[31][31]
Noble drow wore clothes and equipment of superior quality (except, of course, when they didn't want to attract attention).[32] For example, a noble's house insignia didn't just show house allegiance but also carried magic that could be used on command.[31] Web chokers' were considered fashionable by drow priestesses,[33] who also often used powdered Ormu, an Underdark-moss, as eye shadow.[34]"

If that's any indication, they probably wear panties of superior quality... Whatever that means.
Said the guy offering his left nut.
Hahah nice
Then they go commando.
How many Drow females particularly of Lolth, the most powerful gender and held in the highest regard and stature, do anything with subterfuge as a skill or even mindset? Would the former queen of England or any of her children run the backstreets of London to do business on the regular?
Besides, I dunno, I'm just going with the official material here.
Females no. Particularly servants of Lolth. They hold themselves in such high regard and are in such competition for one another that they are almost all going for the top spot which would be some fashion of cleric or priestess. Those who are of lower houses may go down the path of something else but for females subterfuge would be seen as the lowest of the low. For males it's a different story as Rogue professions are seen as some of the most powerful and second in popularity only to fighters.
This does come from the official material.
I was under the impression that subterfuge was an absolute must when it came to drow political struggles? When the drow houses declare war upon each other, they do so with the goal of eradicating the entire bloodline in one fell swoop. Because if even so much as a single survivor manages to escape, and can pin you for the murder of their family, the entire city will immediately turn against you.
Drow do not tolerate failure, especially when it comes to removing their enemies.
Wait for the Paladin patch. Could be a funny Panel from Hell video as well purging the evil threads and comments XD
Initiate drow panty raids??
Therefore, Yes -spider silk thongs-
Fixed it for you.
You would be correct except for that political subterfuge is different from physical then there is the issue of roles. You have to change your mindset to think of females as the nobles of each and every house who are held in high regard and each brought up with the ambition to lead their houses. Remember they think extreme in dichotomies. If it's not seen as strong than it's weak. Strength for females is to be seen as close to the ear of Lolth as possible and to lord over others and be envied thus they are highly visible so physical subterfuge is seen as beneath them, they might as well lie in the dirt. Political subterfuge is their favorite game. Dealing in rumors, lies, pitting one house against another, sometimes using their very own family as pawns to rise in their stations.
Short answer yes in politics. No in physical confrontation that is for the males.
