i mean if we could get a mmrpg similar to world of warcraft just in this gameworld instead and with D&D graphics similar to what is in this game ?
i think it could be a hit, i would sure play it even if it would requiere a subscription for around 10-15 $ a month
because i allready got a larian game similar to baldurs gate .. and i allready own Elder scrolls online from besheda wich i was a tester on before the release ..
It was already too late to be built as an MMO before we even knew BG3 was a thing.
It would be like Guild wars 2 or Elder scrolls online
Hmm so real time and not turn based or where half your group is controlled by npc´s ?
i allso got all the Dragon age games, i like the story i just dont like the turn based stuff in it !
because i allready have divinity: original sin 2 and i allso was one of the first to buy neverwinter nights from larian i just dont like the turn based rpg games ..
real time is what i want and mmorpg is my favorit genre with massive multiplay online where you need to be more than 30 players with healers & tank classes to be able to take down the major bosses such as dragons or similar
Dragon Age and Neverwinter Nights are neither by Larian nor turnbased. They are RTWP and made by Bioware. Larian has no experience with making MMOs and will not turn this game into one.
They need successful restart first. If somebody decide, that BG online is way to earn lot of money, then they will go with it. Question is, if it is good or bad possibility.
The Baldur's Gate/DnD setting as a whole? Yeah. Totally doable. As noted above, one was made awhile ago.
Regardless though, getting the same type of gameplay and even visual detail in an MMO will be unlikely. There's a lot of complex ♥♥♥♥ involved with making an MMO, including making sure it all meshes well with all the players at the same time. That's a lot of graphical power, system/programs, instances, etc. for a server and computer to micromanage all at once. There's a reason most MMORPGs have very similar gameplay mechanics and have pre-rendered cutscenes that look substantially different in graphics compared to actual in-game graphics
Any game that gives me a spell that basically does nothing is my kind of game:

There was all sorts of crazy stuff in GW1, like there's also the build where you intentionally drop your max health from ~480 to 55 and use a spell that makes you only take at most 10% of your health from any attack. And then you're only getting hit for 5 damage so you just use health regen or a spell that reduces the damage from each attack by 5 to not die.
And I think there was some PvP team build where one player intentionally kills himself repeatedly before the match starts or something.
There’s other features of MMORPGs I dislike such as farming, dependency on other players and I’ve never cared for PvP. Since GW1 was mentioned it’s one of the best and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately not many -if any/ games like it available.
Ah, just saw another post from the OP. I also avoid subscriptions like the plague. They tend up to pile up with bills, rent and other annoying obligations. And then you feel guilty about having paid 10pounds and logged in once the whole month. Preeeesure. Meh.
