Baldur's Gate 3

Statistiche:
Why does Wyll "approve" of me refusing to make a deal with a devil?
I mean, isn't that basically what he did? Make a deal I mean, as a Warlock.

That one we can say is true. She agreed to free him if he rescued her, then she got caught by the goblins after the crash and sent off to Moonrise.

Once again, devils NEVER simply let you off the hook once you sign your soul away. If Wyll wants to be free of his contract, he's going to have to give her something more valuable than his soul in exchange.

And if I had to guess? I'd say that this whole 'rescue' situation is part of her playing the long con. The cracks in his heroic personality have already started to show, and I would not be surprised in the least if his personal story is about him becoming so desperate to track her down, that he ends up totally destroying the reputation he's built up in order to get to her.

By the time he rescues his patron, he's become known as a villain, rather than the hero he wanted to be. Wyll's soul remains damned regardless of his contract.

I mean honestly, do you think a CR 4 succubus would actually be captured by a bunch of CR 1/4 goblins? It would (theoretically) take 16 goblins to match her in combat, and that's if we don't include her supernatural abilities.

Possible, but doesn't sound like it. She was caught by the mindflayers first and is presumably in the same situation as the rest of us, then was basically killed by her crash before being set upon by the hordes of goblins, the ogres etc.
She does say the goblins were about to torture her and then when we get to the goblins they do brag about torturing her, but that could also just be part of a plot.

Also a cambion, not a succubus, which should theoretically make her even more of a challenge but very few of the things are sticking to the CR. Especially since we can kill 3 of them before even leaving the ship.

Not exactly. Cambions are Fiends (technically half-fiends) which amongst other things, includes both Demons and Devils.

Messaggio originale di Harukage:
In DnD Cambions are half-fiends. You are mistaking them wirth Pathfinder Cambions who are half-breeds of a specific demon type.

Demon, Cambion, 5th Edition: https://www.5esrd.com/database/creature/demon-cambion/

"When an incubus procreates with a humanoid in the Abyss, and the mortal parent resides on that plane throughout the pregnancy, the gestating child absorbs enough Abyssal energy to be born not as a half-demon, but as a type of humanoid demon known as a cambion."

"Cambions are true outsiders. The majority of cambions have red skin, horns on their heads, and cloven hooves for feet-the fiendish aspects of cambions’ appearance don’t range as widely as those of tieflings. A typical cambion stands 6 feet tall and weighs 190 pounds."

You can kill 3 of them with cheese strats. You try to take them on in a fair fight, and you'll see they have the power to one shot your tank, who is wearing one of the best suits of armor in the EA.

You were looking specifically for a demon cambion. While the word has much broader meaning. And during the years this game takes place it is most often used to describe half-devil.

That's the SRD page for the demon-type cambion, yes. The SRD is a limited 'free-use' source though, and there are more types.
Specifically they are Fiends, not demons or devils, with 'cambion' being an interchangeable/general-use term, which depending on the parents can get even more specific - e.g. Alu-fiend (succubus/mortal), Draegloth (drow/glabrezu), Durzagon (duergar/devil), etc.

Sure, but it's not just the cambions it's pretty much everything. And why would the giant horde that's presumably being led by intelligent commanders not do the equivalent of cheese.
