The casting aspect for those two characters is very different. I personally prefer the sorcerer, but either of those choices should work well with your character concept. Even if you use a rapier it would be hard to see a scenario where you would want to use a melee attack over your spells and cantrips.
I like that you are creating a character based upon role-playing instead of some sort of meta gaming. It is too common for people to try to min-max their characters in D&D...especially in CRPGs.
Good luck!
I know a little bit of the D&D lore and that Lolth sworn Drow are hand picked by Lolth herself and she gives them the red eyes to mark them as hers. I don't think the Eldritch sub class fits for having Lolth as my patron and I'm not sure feind is quite right either (If it was a game around a table it wouldn't matter as the DM can house rule your chosen patron but here I have to work in the constraints of the game they program).
I'm mainly looking for which is the most lore friendly of the options and will be least immersion breaking when I run into something that goes against what they games says.
In this kind of game I never min max, I'm solely here for the story and narrative. My favourite part is creating a character with their own backstory and motivations and personality, then picking what feels most natural for them to do in any given situation to see what happens.
Overall, making a character you have fun with is the key. Lore wise if you plant your flag on Lolth, she is both a demon lord and a goddess so have a big time!
Peace
I would go Wild Magic Sorcerer if I were you. Lolth loves chaos after all, and hates Mystra.
I like playing a warlock llolth sworn drow because I can see him trying to escape, but in order to survive the journey he called upon a higher power and swore service to whatever else may be out there in order to escape, seeing that as preferable to being a slave to the matriarchy.
Or my drow could be a sorcerer, his natural abilities with magic raised him to some form of elevation men are allowed to have as magic casters in society, was on a mission when he got abducted.
This feels like a character that should be a cleric more than a sorcerer. Or perhaps a Bladesinger, but alas that subclass is not in the game (without mods).
If you're looking for a melee soldiery class that slings spells to fit that motif, perhaps Eldritch Knight Fighter?
But if you want to stick with Charisma based gish class, then you're kind of stuck with Swords Bard and Warlock.
You can possibly RP an Old One warlock as being powers given to you by your head worm.
Are you looking to restart a buried 400+ page thread?!
So you can say it happened, and make up a backstory for it, but ... yea... sharing drow with another being is a tough sell.
If you use warlock, for get rapiers and use the best weapon you can find as POTB.
Warlock implies you sold your soul to somebody other than Lolth, and that would get you executed in Drow society. Even among the ranks of the Dark Seldarine, you are expected to place Lolth above all other deities.
Sorcerer makes more sense, especially since Lolth-Sworn Drow are known to summon demons for the explicit purpose of breeding with them.
